Koigu socks for mom. Not that thrilled with the Koigu experience. Knit up the first one in, uh, 2006, and used up almost the entire skein, and it was too small for me. (It’s always about me.) So, perfect Mom Socks. Finally got around to sock number two, and finished it, pathetically, the day before the Parents returned to California. And my gauge was totally different from sock the first. Whatever. She seemed pleased.

It’s the Second-Sock Syndrome. It bites you in the butt every time. I have yet to make two identical socks. I have marginally better luck making two sleeves that match when making a sweater.
